Pomona HS Speech and Debate

Welcome back students and families! We’re ready to kick off the 2013/2014 Speech and Debate season. Our first meeting will be held this Friday (8/30) in the LMC Lecture Hall at Pomona HS.

I will also be at the back to school meeting this evening, 8/27, from 6-8pm at the Pomona HS Gym if you have questions or comments regarding this upcoming season.

Welcome back and I hope everyone enjoyed their long break!

We have a lot of preparation to do and we need to get rolling on our tournament registrations. Our first meeting of the new year will be this Friday, January 9th at Pomona.

Next, the student access page has been updated with our next 5 tournaments. Please check them out to figure which tournaments you’d like to compete in.

Also, the Pomona Congress Invitational will be held after-school on February 5th. If you are not competing you must assist with running the tournament. You will receive NFL points regardless of whether you compete or help with the tournament.

Lastly, let’s make this a successful second semester of debate. I look forward to seeing everyone on Friday and email me with any questions or concerns.

at Chatfield by going ‘maverick’ in CX!

Emily and Leah also placed at JeffCo Sweeps.
Winning 2nd in Poetry and 1st in DI respectively.

Reminder

We will be having a final meeting on Monday, 12/10 to debrief and plan for the 2nd semester of Speech and Debate.

Also, results should be all uploaded and are accessible via the student access page.

1st January Meeting
